1. Customers can either book an appointment online or show up in person at one of our franchise locations (permanent system) or rent a system (similar to a photobooth) for their birthday, wedding, corporate event, etc. (mobile system shown to the right)

2. The 3D photography process takes approximately 7 minutes in which a customer poses for their 3D photo, reviews the resulting 3D image and then chooses to purchase or pose for another 3D capture.

3. Twindom processes and fulfills the order offsite in our 3D printing lab and ships the 3D printed, miniature twin to the customer within 2 weeks. Every 3D photo is immediately made available online for customers to view, share and reorder.

OUR STORY:

Three years ago, three UC Berkeley entrepreneurs with a shared passion and expertise in 3D printing resolved to bring 3D printing technology to the masses.

Two years and countless hours later, we finished developing the first version of our 3D photography system and immediately we started taking 3D photographs of customers around the Bay Area. We had:

• Families take family portraits, kickstarting a new tradition to have a miniature Twin made of every family member annually in order to watch them grow over time
  
• Couples hold each other close
  
• Sports fans decked out in their sports memorabilia
  
• Athletes fully suited up in their sports equipment
  
• Expectant mothers, days, weeks and months away from giving birth
  
• New mothers with their newborn baby asleep in their arms
  
• Grandparents send the gift of themselves to their family in other countries and vice versa

Our customers were using Twindom much like they use their camera: to capture the people and moments most treasured by them. 

We spent the past year working out the bugs in our system while operating at a mall, at a science center, at corporate parties, at large conventions, in a private studio, at a wedding dress shop and many more. With all our learnings from the past year we are now looking for 25 initial entrepreneurs to help us take Twindom nationwide.

This is an entirely new industry that is only now possible because of 3D printing and 3D image processing. We estimate it to be a $10 billion market. The most similar market to it is photography. 

• The professional photography market is a $10 billion per year industry just in the U.S.
