The Grandy’s Story
Grandy’s began as the dream of Walter E. Johnson and Rex E. Sanders, who became friends while working together as teenagers at a Dallas cafeteria. After launching and selling a successful chain of chicken restaurants, the two young men saw the need for a new type of restaurant- one that combined the efficiency of fast food with the ambience of a full-service comfort food restaurant. From that concept, Grandy’s County Cookin’ was born in 1973

Our hearty breakfast, consisting of a combination of scrambled eggs, hotcakes, breakfast meat, breakfast sandwiches and freshly baked biscuits, are nostalgic of a time when breakfast was served at a kitchen table instead of behind a steering wheel.
